NEWS:

  • On April 20, 2008 Thomas played a recital with cellist Xiao-Mu Fang at Carnegie´s Zankel Hall in New York City. The recital was attended by more than 400 listeners.
  • The NEW CD of the ATOS Trio with two trios by Heinrich von Herzogenberg is released since January 28, 2008. Published on the label CPO, it is available on www.jpc.de and, of course, from Thomas directly at this website. The first Edition was sold out during the first 3 weeks.
     
  • The ATOS Trio was named the 3rd recipient of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Award for piano trios! This prize is a high honor, and includes 20 recitals in the USA, a CD production, access to fine luthiers and many other excellent advantages.
  • On September 27th, Thomas´daughter Maria Henrietta Silvana (Nashda) was born in Berlin, Germany. Both she and her mother Sissy are healthy and beautiful.
  • At the Fifth Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition in July 2007, the ATOS Trio was awarded 1st Prize in the Category Piano Trio,as well as the Grand Prize of all categories!. The trio also received the Audience Prize and the Musica Viva Tour2009 prize. Never before in the history of this competition, which is held only every four years, has one ensemble been awarded this many prizes.
  • In 2009, Thomas will be official accompanist for the International Queen Elizabeth Violin Competition in Brussels (Belgium), the Joseph Joachim Violin Competition in Hannover and the ARD Violin Competition in Munich.
  • After their Interview in the well-known newspaper "Die ZEIT" in October, the ATOS TRIO recently gave an interview for the "Ensemble" magazin. The portrait will be published in February 2007.
  • In May 2006, Thomas was chosen "Best Accompanist" by jury, participants and public at the international  competition in Markneukirchen, where he worked as staff accompanist for clarinets
