NEWS:

  • On July 14th, Thomas is in Bucharest, Romania to perform a recital with beautiful violinist Mihaela Martin.
  • After recording all piano trios by American Composer Robert Helps, the ATOS Trio is off to Great Britain: studio recordings for the BBC, and recitals in Cheltenham and London in early July.
  • The ATOS Trio is playing a recital in London´s Wigmore Hall as a last-minute-replacement of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio on May 24th!
  • Exciting February: the ATOS Trio published their new CD - the complete chambermusic works by Czech composer Josef Suk (available on jpc.de) - and performed their Carnegie Hall Debut before an enthusiastic, capacity audience. 
  • In October, the ATOS Trio played their Debut Recitals in Chicago (Mandel Hall) and London (Wigmore Hall) to sold-out, capacity crowds.
  • Just recently, Thomas was official pianist at the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition in Hannover (see JosephJoachimTV on YouTube). In the semifinals, he played recitals with Fumiaki Miura (1st Prize), Clara-Yumi Kang (2nd Prize), Yura Lee (3rd Prize) as well as with Yusuke Hayashi and Haik Kazazyan.
  • The ATOS Trio was named a BBC3 New Generation Artist, beginning fall 2009. This is a great honor for the trio, and will include festival appearances, recitals at many prestigious halls (including Wigmore Hall), studio recordings with international distribution, Concerto Performances with the BBC Orchestras and many other wonderful opportunities.
  • During May 2009, Thomas was official staff accompanist at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, Belgium.
  • This spring, Thomas has continued working at the UdK Berlin, was hired  by the Juilliard School to accompany its entrance auditions, was staff accompanist at the Rostal, Stulberg and Deutsche Musik competitions and -with the ATOS Trio - has toured the USA and South Germany.
  • The new ATOS Trio CD (Azica) with works by Beethoven, Schubert and Schumann is available now in the US and in Europe, and has just been added to iTunes! Look for it also on Amazon.com, Amazon.de, and Azica.com. On Amazon, you can leave comments about the music as well!
  • On November 25-2008, the ATOS Trio played a recital at the beautiful Kammersaal of the Berlin Philarmonic. This program, which features works by Rachmaninov, Beethoven and Shostakovich, was aired on January 2, 2009 by Deutschland Radio Kultur.
  • Just having returned from touring in the USA, Czech Republic and Germany, the ATOS Trio is looking forward to the release of their two new CDs, featuring works by Josef Suk and Beethoven, Schubert and Schumann.
  • At their debut in England, the ATOS Trio was cheered by a wonderful audience at the sold-out Royal College in Manchester. 
  • At the prestigious Rheingau Festival on July 18&19, about 600 enthusiastic listeners each night attended the recitals given by the ATOS Trio with violist Martin von der Nahmer of the Berlin Philarmonic. They performed both of Mozart´s piano quartets and Haydn piano trios.
  • On April 20, 2008 Thomas played a recital with cellist Xiao-Mu Fang at Carnegie´s Zankel Hall in New York City. The recital was attended by more than 400 enthusiastic listeners.
  • The NEW CD of the ATOS Trio with two trios by Heinrich von Herzogenberg is released since January 28, 2008. Published on the label CPO, it is available on www.jpc.de and, of course, from Thomas directly at this website. The first Edition was sold out during the first 3 weeks.
  • The ATOS Trio was named the 3rd recipient of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Award for piano trios! This prize is a high honor, and includes 20 recitals in the USA, a CD production, access to fine luthiers and many other excellent advantages.
  • On September 27th, Thomas´daughter Maria Henrietta Silvana (Nashda) was born in Berlin, Germany. Both she and her mother Sissy are healthy and beautiful.
  • At the Fifth Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition in July 2007, the ATOS Trio was awarded 1st Prize in the Category Piano Trio,as well as the Grand Prize of all categories!. The trio also received the Audience Prize and the Musica Viva Tour2009 prize. Never before in the history of this competition, which is held only every four years, has one ensemble been awarded this many prizes.
  • In 2009, Thomas will be official accompanist for the International Queen Elizabeth Violin Competition in Brussels (Belgium), the Joseph Joachim Violin Competition in Hannover and the ARD Violin Competition in Munich.
  • After their Interview in the well-known newspaper "Die ZEIT" in October, the ATOS TRIO recently gave an interview for the "Ensemble" magazin. The portrait will be published in February 2007.
  • In May 2006, Thomas was chosen "Best Accompanist" by jury, participants and public at the international  competition in Markneukirchen, where he worked as staff accompanist for clarinets
